MEA News Is Now Newsolva

MEA News, the aggregator that pulls in stories from a range of sources, has officially been renamed to Newsolva. It's fully live now on its new domain, complete with a new engine that groups related news stories into a single timeline.

Product Status

Fully Live

Newsolva is already fully running on its new domain. All the features that were on MEA News keep working as normal -- only the name and identity have changed.

Why the name change?

In line with the rebranding of other products under MEA Ecosystem, the name "MEA News" was replaced so it could have a stronger identity of its own, moving away from the "MEA + function" pattern used before. The name Newsolva was picked to reflect its role in piecing together, and "solving," fragments of news into one coherent picture.

New domain: newsolva.meaecosystem.com

Newsolva is now accessed through this domain:

newsolva.meaecosystem.com

The old domain will gradually be redirected to this new one.

New feature: grouping news into a timeline

Beyond still pulling in news from a range of sources as before (similar to how Google News works), Newsolva now comes with an engine that detects when several articles from different sources are actually covering the same event or topic. When there's a genuine match, those articles get grouped into a single timeline, so you can follow how the story unfolded without having to jump between separate sources.

What doesn't change?

Newsolva still functions as a news aggregator -- it doesn't write its own news, but collects and presents stories from various sources in one place. The MEA Ecosystem name and logo as the parent brand also stay the same -- only the name and identity of this product have changed.
